Aims and Objectives: The Group’s aim is to promote the social, economic and cultural development of the Greater Ballymacnab area for the benefit of all its citizens. Initiatives to date: Under the umbrella of Ballymacnab Community Development Association are St Patrick’s Youth Club Ballymacnab which caters for the youth of the area aged 8-14 and Ballymacnab Women’s Group, which organises courses and events for local women of all ages. BCDA is also working to establish a Golden Years Group for events and services to the older people of the area as well as specialist interest groups to address specific topics such as environmental issues, cultural and heritage projects.
