The AIB Better Ireland Programme has been set up to support non-profit organisations committed to addressing social exclusion within the community under the three specific causes.
To be eligible to apply, organisations must be Irish-based, must have been in operation for a minimum of 12 months and must be registered under one of the following
- granted charitable tax exemptions under the Tax Acts
- a scheme set up by Government or other agencies
- be recognised as a reputable community scheme
The following schemes are not eligible: international projects, third party fund-raising activities; projects benefiting private individuals rather than groups or organisations; private clubs; overseas travel; counter and public collections or raffles; high-risk ventures such as parachute or bungie jumping.
