It is about inclusion, encouraging everyone to play a role in their community. £1.5 million has been made available by the Department for Social Development to voluntary and community organisations who can fulfil the key objectives of ACI. Grants for ACI are divided into two categories, Small Grants and Main Grants and began in March 2002. Completion of these grants will take place in June 2004. All grants given are subject to application and assessment by a selection panel from the voluntary, community, private and public sector. More details here.
