Improve your local area with a grant from The
People's Millions
The Big Lottery Fund and UTV have launched the fourth year of The People’s
Millions, the competition in which communities across Northern Ireland can bid
for £50,000 in Lottery funding.
Five awards of £50,000 will be up for grabs for projects that will transform
the local environment. We want to fund schemes that will improve amenities,
public spaces, buildings and the natural environment and also to help local
people get more enjoyment out of their area.
Organisations have until 15 May 2008 to enter the competition. UTV viewers
will be able to vote on which local community projects they want to win Lottery
funding, when the contest hits TV screens in November.
Since The People’s Millions was launched in 2005, it has awarded £750,000 to
12 projects in Northern Ireland.
