Project Officer
Armagh City and District and
Dungannon Borough Carers Groups
16 hours per week £22,258 pro rata; 1 year
only
The successful applicant will be expected to: provide support for carers;
provide information and advice for carers; encourage carers to identify their
own needs; provide social/recreation activities for carers; bring the needs of
carers to the attention of statutory and voluntary agencies.
Essential Criteria: Third level education and minimum 2 years relevant paid
experience in the voluntary sector or minimum of 4 years relevant paid
experience in the community and voluntary sector; Understanding the needs of
Carers, especially those living in isolation and/or rural areas; Previous
experience of caring or working with carers; Good verbal and written
communication skills; Excellent organisational skills; Able to work on own
with minimum supervision; Competent in the use of Word Processing, Spreadsheets
and Databases; Access to suitable means of transport; Experience of collating
information and producing reports for monitoring purposes.; Demonstrate ability
to work with a team.
