Electrical Safety Information

In NI between 2004-2007, 730 domestic dwelling fires were of an electrical nature. These fires were caused by:

  • 349 electrical appliances
  • 188  cooking related electrical appliances
  • 193 electrical goods (non appliance)

In winter most of stay indoors more and we use more electrical goods and for longer. Also as we begin to decorate our homes in the next week or two for Christmas it is important that we try and stay as safe as possible.
